About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Homewood Health, a leading provider of mental health and addiction treatment services in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct health care services to patients with complex mental health and addiction issues
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health and addiction risk assessments, formulate treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention
  • Implement evidence-based treatment approaches, including psychotherapy and counseling
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, symptoms, and behavioral changes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health and/or substance use setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mental disorders, addictions, and concurrent disorders
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills
  • Effective conflict resolution and aggressive behavior management skills
