The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Perception Algorithms & State Estimation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art perception and state estimation solutions for online autonomy. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and deploying algorithms in robotics using camera, lidar, and/or radar data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop state estimation solutions that run online on our autonomous vehicle, ensuring accurate and reliable data processing.
  • Collaborate with the perception team to leverage data and work with other teams to deliver solutions ready for deployment on the autonomous vehicle.
  • Mentor and guide other team members to help achieve overall perception goals, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in modern C++ and Python programming languages.
  • Experience building state-of-the-art state estimation solutions for real-time applications in robotics, including E/KFs, factor graphs, and optimization.
  • Experience working with camera, lidar, and/or radar data in autonomy applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently, iterating on complex problems and models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art best practices and research in motion planning and/or controls.
  • Ability to design, implement, and deploy motion planning and/or control software stacks.
