The team mission is to provide egocentric perception solutions for Google to enable immersive human-machine interactions. The Machine Learning team is focused on improving existing models and algorithms while researching novel approaches to achieve faster and more accurate performance on various vision applications.
The Google Augmented Reality team is a diverse group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and creating helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop infrastructure/pipelines to build end-to-end perception systems, including training and evaluating deep learning models, data processing, and productionizing prototype systems.
- Optimize algorithms' run-time efficiency and integrate them into the product platform.
- Write production-quality C++ and Python code, as well as tests.
- Communicate, design, and implement decisions effectively through architecture/design documents and code.
- Collaborate with other development teams to optimize performance and usability for use cases that leverage Machine Learning (ML) perception models on a novel platform.
