Role Overview

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will oversee comprehensive accounting processes and manage all financial operations, ensuring the organization's fiscal health while leading a growing finance team. This position will handle risk management and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS standards tailored for a SaaS business model. The ideal candidate will also spearhead the transition to new accounting software and implement necessary financial tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, risk assessment, and financial planning activities.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors, banking institutions, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the finance team, cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and review of financial statements, overseeing audits and finance team responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support business goals and enhance financial performance.
  • Measure, monitor, and report on performance objectives while managing dashboard reporting.
  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of financial reporting systems and tools, seeking to improve and streamline business processes and controls.
  • Guarantee compliance with IFRS standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements. Manage risk and mitigation strategies, foreign currency considerations, and contract evaluations.
  • Effectively communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Be open to taking on additional responsibilities for personal development and growth, embracing new challenges.
Candidate Profile
  • Preferred CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial role, ideally within the technology sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Pivot tables.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, and analytical.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Self-driven with a positive outlook and detail-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with financial software and tools.
  • Capable of meeting tight deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of the SaaS business model and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Experience with Salesforce; skills in process creation and optimization are advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a technology company.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience with QuickBooks; experience in leading software transitions is a plus.
