Your Role as a Quality Coordinator

In this position, you will be integrated into the Western Canada team , working collaboratively with a diverse engineering group that is poised for growth and exciting challenges ahead.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Cultivating a quality-centric culture across all levels in Western Canada, emphasizing doing it right the first time and continuous enhancement.
  • Collaborating with the Quality Manager to uphold and refine our quality systems while adhering to operational best practices.
  • Developing and executing necessary updates to the quality system, standard operating procedures, and policies to align with professional regulations and customer requirements.
  • Maintaining documentation to support quarterly management review meetings.
  • Participating in comprehensive internal audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing the Professional Practice Management Plan in conjunction with the review committee.
  • Ensuring adherence to the non-conformance reporting process by managing the NCR database and confirming that appropriate records and resolutions are documented.
  • Continuously reviewing and developing procedures by managing the OFI database to ensure effective records and solutions are in place.
  • Supporting our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and Certification.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, preferably within the engineering consulting sector.
  • Background in consulting engineering.
  • Strong understanding of construction quality management standards, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills focused on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
  • Knowledge of ISO and CSA standards.
  • Experience in risk identification, change management, and continuous improvement is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining quality management systems, product conformity, and materials management systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to foster cooperative working relationships.
  • Proven expertise in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues with a commitment to decisive action.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Training is an asset.
