Vegetation Management Program Lead

Role Overview
Returns to our team as a Project Manager for Vegetation Management. This role is responsible for managing the Vegetation Management program from conception through to completion, working closely with operations, other project managers, and contractors to improve build and execute the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage projects and programs
- Work within budgets and deadlines to deliver projects on time
- Identify and communicate project status and changes to stakeholders
- Coordinate and assign resources to meet project objectives
- Develop schedules, cost estimates, project execution plans, and risk management strategies
- Manage permit requirements, site construction, contract administration, stakeholder communications, and customer satisfaction
- Complete project closeout requirements

- Acquire a solid understanding of FortisBC's internal processes, standards, policies, and project management procedures
- Put expertise and knowledge to work on projects
- Champion and promote the importance of safety
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Schedule and organize resources

- Build on knowledge gained during the project cycle
- Manage multiple projects, increasing in complexity
- Build and manage highly effective teams
- Continue to build and leverage relationships with stakeholders
- Identify and champion continuous improvements in how the Project Management Office does business
