About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Educational Counsellor to join our team at Maple Hill School. As an Educational Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: High school environment with a focus on providing guidance and support to students.
  • Key Tasks:
    • Attend educational conferences and workshops to stay updated on best practices and industry developments.
    • Counsel students regarding educational, career, or vocational issues, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
    • Counsel students regarding personal and social issues, promoting emotional well-being and resilience.
    • Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and community agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
    • Refer students to other specialized services when required, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources.
    • Develop guidance and counselling programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
    • Visit colleges and secondary schools to provide academic information to prospective students, their parents, and educational institutions, promoting our school's values and mission.
