Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Healthcare Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis.

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients in their own homes, providing assistance with daily living activities and promoting their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist clients with personal care and hygiene tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medication Management: Help clients with medication management, including administration and reminders.
  • Light Meal Preparation: Prepare light meals and snacks for clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Homemaking Services: Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities and conversations that promote their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Medical Escort Services: Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings, providing transportation and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working with seniors and/or individuals with disabilities is an asset.
  • Qualifications: Possession of a Care Aide certificate and BC registry number is an asset.
  • Skills: Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude; willingness to work short and long shifts; ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
