We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Chilliwack General Hospital. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, ensuring safe radiation protection practices.
- Prepare patients for examination, monitor patient care and safety, and maintain accurate records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing input on quality control tests and minor adjustments to equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
