We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Queens Park Care Centre. This is a temporary part-time opportunity that will support our long-term care services. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients and residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and functional status, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide occupational therapy interventions to promote independence and well-being.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement care plans, and participate in patient care conferences to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff on occupational therapy techniques and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy policies and procedures, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members, and provide guidance and support to students and volunteers.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy from an approved university program.
- Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) or the British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists (BCSOT).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, with the ability to lift, bend, and move patients as required.
