Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health, providing geriatric care and rehabilitation services to older adults with chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy assessment, consultation, and interventions to maximize physical function and promote independence and safety in older adults.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individual treatment goals and provide education to clients and caregivers.
- Prescribe and recommend specialized and adaptive aids and equipment to clients for activities of daily living.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of direct clinical care and education provided to clients and caregivers.
- Provide education and training to clients, family, caregivers, and staff on independent living skills and occupational performance.
- Develop and maintain resource materials and provide geriatric clinical expertise to staff and clients.
- Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
- One year recent, clinical related experience in working with older and/or geriatric clients.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC) and eligible for membership in the BC Society of Occupational Therapists and/or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
