Job Title: Senior Sponsorship Manager

Join the City of Toronto team as a Senior Sponsorship Manager and play a key role in securing significant revenue to enhance and grow the operational budget for key Divisional projects, events, and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative sponsorship strategies to achieve desired revenue targets.
  • Negotiate and close significant sponsorships with key corporate decision-makers.
  • Assist with pre-event, on-site, and post-event benefit fulfillment and contractual obligations.
  • Cultivate and retain strategic relationships with corporate representatives, local businesses, politicians, and internal senior-level management.
  • Research and develop targeted prospecting lists for corporate and government grant opportunities.
  • Develop enticing presentations to integrate corporate partners and their marketing objectives into Divisional projects, events, and programs.
  • Supervise and direct staff to ensure the delivery of effective and quality service.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in special events, event management, or a related discipline.
  • Considerable experience in securing major cash sponsorships and grants.
  • Excellent partnership development and stewardship skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team.
  • Highly developed MS Office Suite skills.
