About the Role

XL Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback.
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of inventory, ensuring that all items are accurately tracked and accounted for.
    • Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize storage capacity.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Coordinate and assign tasks to team members to ensure that all warehouse activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
    • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity, reducing costs and minimizing waste.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including sales, purchasing, and customer service teams, to ensure that all warehouse activities are aligned with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with external partners, such as transportation providers and suppliers, to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
    • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business administration or supply chain management.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
    • Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Windows.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a high level of attention to detail. The role will involve standing for long periods, lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
