Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Metro Supply Chain. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, order picking, replenishment, shipping, and cycle counts.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the operations supervisor to ensure that warehouse operations are running smoothly and that customer service standards are met.
  • Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics, including productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including operations supervisors, warehouse staff, and other departments.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies and plans.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience in a warehouse operations role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College diploma in Logistics Management or a related field.
  • Forklift certification from a recognized training provider.
  • Experience with RF-based warehouse management systems, preferably Red Prairie.
