Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the shift operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Lead and execute the health, safety, and environmental programs within the warehouse, ensuring a safe and productive working environment for all employees.
  • Execute defined processes to ensure asset protection within the warehouse, including receiving, picking, and shipment processes.
  • Manage the union-management processes and relationships within the warehouse, providing coaching, leadership, and development to team members.
  • Responsible for the effective execution of product recovery processes within the warehouse, ensuring compliance with established ERP, WMS, and APS processes.
  • Proactively identify and implement cost improvement opportunities, ensuring that the warehouse operates within budget.
  • Deliver service, cost, quality, health/safety/environment objectives for a specific shift, while also contributing to the overall success of the site operation.
Requirements
  • University degree in a business or industry-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an operations facility with direct supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
  • Proven ability to manage transport operations in a high-volume environment, including leadership of a large hourly workforce.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of achievement and a reputation as a leader of change.
  • Excellent computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
