Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our Imaging Department at Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients and clients, while learning advanced imaging techniques and working alongside our experienced Imaging RVTs and board-certified Veterinary Neurologists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Care for our patients, including feeding, walking, and providing a gentle voice of assurance
  • Ensure animal housing or enclosures are clean, sanitary, and comfortable
  • Provide excellent customer service skills, putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a warm and welcoming environment
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including pet holding areas and common areas as needed
  • Be willing to learn about pet nutrition, veterinary services, and updated medical office procedures, and assist the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
  • Remain calm and provide high-quality care in busy, stressful situations
  • Take initiative and adapt smoothly to changing circumstances
  • Collaborate with the team, assisting veterinary staff with procedures, tasks, and treatments
  • Show a love for all companion animals

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, including some Saturdays.
