Job Description

The Technical Sales and Consulting Internship Program at Rockwell Automation is a 12-week internship that combines sales, technical, and professional training. This program is designed to equip interns with the skills and knowledge needed to become trusted outcome-based sellers. Interns will work in a cohort with peers from around the world and will be placed in one of our field sales offices across Canada.

Three Potential Tracks

  1. Business Development Representatives: Develop and qualify new revenue opportunities by working with the Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to develop targeted strategies and messaging. This role involves working with customers through phone and digital methods, including email and online remote meetings.
  2. Account Managers: Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet sales goals and grow market share. This role involves working with customers in a face-to-face setting.
  3. Domain Experts: Serve as technical resources for Rockwell Automation technology and products within their area(s). This role involves communicating the benefits of our portfolio to customers and working with them in a mix of face-to-face and online remote meetings.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Pursuing a degree in electrical, industrial, mechanical, mechatronics, software, or chemical engineering; computer science, industrial distribution, supply chain, business, or technical majors
  • Previous intern experience with Rockwell Automation, our Partner Network, or our customers
  • Experience and knowledge with technical skills and/or domains

Compensation

The Base Salary Compensation for this role is from $72,000 - $90,000/annual. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
