Infrastructure Project Technician

About the Role: As a key member of EXP Engineering, you will be engaged in both construction and design projects, contributing to significant infrastructure developments. Your role will involve managing various aspects of road engineering initiatives that will impact the future landscape of Quebec.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction sites for road projects, ensuring adherence to safety and project standards;
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of technicians and engineers on diverse road engineering tasks;
  • Document progress by measuring completed work and preparing daily reports;
  • Utilize software tools such as Autocad and/or Microstation for the design of road projects;
  • Employ Inroads and/or Civil 3D for advanced road design;
  • Prepare quantity submissions and manage survey requests;
  • Conduct surveys and analyze data for project requirements;
  • Assist in creating 3D visualizations for project presentations;
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • DEC in civil engineering or a related field;
  • Proven experience in supervising road construction sites;
  • Completion of mandatory MTQ training programs;
  • Possession of an ASP construction card;
  • Familiarity with MTQ regulations and operational procedures;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Fluent in French, both spoken and written;
  • Strong technical writing capabilities.
