YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

:

Reporting to the Technical Services Metallurgy Superintendent, you will be mainly involved in monitoring the metallurgical work required for the development of various projects, either laboratory or piloting work. You will support senior metallurgists in the production of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies. You will contribute to the development of processes and criteria for the various geological deposits and see to their integration into detailed engineering work. You will also provide support to the different AEM divisions.You will develop your expertise within a team of experienced metallurgists and multidisciplinary project teams (geology, mining, infrastructure, environment).

More specifically, you will:

Develop metallurgical test programs and specific study definitions that are required (mineralogy, crushing and grinding, gravimetry, flotation, cyanidation, water treatment, etc.), tailored to the needs and circumstances of ongoing projects or studies; Identify and plan for material and technical needs, in order to determine the budget required to pursue the development of selected projects; Develop a plan for projects, prepare follow-up and progress reports, etc. Identify and select samples and groups of samples required for testing, studies and support purposes; Compile and analyze results; Develop flow diagrams, design criteria and metallurgical balances; Participate in the monitoring and control of bulk ore processing or piloting campaigns; Participate in the selection of key equipment, new or used, affecting the metallurgical performance of the process; Carry out literary research to improve technical knowledge and industrial practices, thus enabling the optimization of elaborate research work and the development of processes adapted to the reality of projects under evaluation or existing divisional support projects.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering or mining engineering with specialization in ore processing; Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar tasks; Member of the “Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)” or equivalent; Ability to use standard computer software such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Capacity and interest in travelling to the company's project and operating sites in Canada, Finland,Mexico and Australia; Fluent in written and spoken French; Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language.
