Position Summary:

The Material Support Department plays a crucial role in supporting the DND CH146 fleet. This department oversees the management of all repair and overhaul (R&O) activities related to repairable Crown assets utilized by the CH146, including potential work on entire aircraft. Responsibilities encompass all facets of direct support, including procurement of new spares and Integrated Logistics Support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior R&O Analyst in aligning component inductions with fleet requirements and budget constraints.
  • Generate Malfunction Reports for unserviceable aeronautical products received.
  • Maintain organized files for closed and Work in Progress to enhance functional efficiency within the R&O Department.
  • Collaborate with various departments (Commercial Spares, Accounting, and Commercial Warehouse) and other divisions as necessary.
  • Manage DND inventory by facilitating SAP transfers for both serviceable and unserviceable assets.
  • Regularly create work scopes and coordinate shipments with preferred vendors for optimal value.
  • Engage in work scope creation and follow up on purchase orders (PO) with vendors to resolve outstanding discrepancies.
  • Support the Material Support and Procurement Department with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Act as a liaison with DND personnel and Technical Authority to implement aircraft component and airframe configuration changes.
  • Provide data analysis and queries for internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as necessary.
  • Address vendor requests for updated records and documentation.
  • Assist the R&O Senior Analyst in managing inventory using value-added practices.
  • Learn and apply departmental procedures, policies, and regulations as outlined by Bell Flight, adhering to Textron Business Conduct Guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an AME/FAA/EASA License or equivalent aviation experience, with a preference for rotorcraft experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of technical experience in a customer service environment, ideally within aviation.
  • Familiarity with SAP asset inventory management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong command of English with effective written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in communication and negotiation with all stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and cooperation to foster team success.
  • Maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across departments.

This position requires Canadian citizenship or permanent residency for security clearance purposes.
