Bakery Team Member

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Team Member to join our team at Michigan Diner. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Bakery Operations: Bake mixed dough and batters, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the bakery team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, and standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, judgment, reliable, and a team player.
