Treatment Intake Specialist

**Job Summary**
The Salvation Army is seeking a skilled and compassionate Treatment Intake Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our social services department, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals in need.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough intake assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized plans for support.
- Provide counseling and guidance to clients, focusing on substance addictions, homelessness, and poverty issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum two years of community college education in a related field, such as social work or counseling.
- One year of experience in social services, with a focus on substance addictions and homelessness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.
- Criminal Records Review Act clearance to work with vulnerable adults and willingness to obtain enhanced security clearance.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Working knowledge of substance addictions, homelessness, and poverty issues.
- Ability to conduct group discussions and workshops.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
