About the Role

Family Services of Greater Vancouver's Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) provides clinical counseling services to employees of client organizations who may be experiencing problems in their personal, family, or work lives. As a social enterprise, FSEAP generates revenue to support the larger work of Family Services of Greater Vancouver and the community.

This role is primarily responsible for providing front-line support to clients calling into the Care Centre (Counseling/Crisis Line and Service Intake Centre). The Intake Support Specialist will assess client needs and determine when to elevate clients to an appropriate Masters Level Counselor. The role involves data entry, collaboration with FSEAP Care Centre Counselors, and other FSEAP employees, including Clinical Managers, Account Managers, and the Affiliate Manager.

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as an Intake Support Specialist. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line support to clients calling into the Care Centre
  • Assess client needs and determine when to elevate clients to an appropriate Masters Level Counselor
  • Enter data and scan documents in a client management database
  • Collaborate with FSEAP Care Centre Counselors and other FSEAP employees
  • Manage telephonic client and affiliate contact
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
  • Minimum 2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 2 years' experience in customer service assessing and supporting critical customer needs
