We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Pluming Eagle Lodge Ltd. in a group home setting.
About the Role:This is a permanent position requiring 30 to 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, with a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and needs.
- Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, and develop strategies to address these needs.
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Implement life skills workshops and programs to support clients' development and well-being.
- Conduct follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of services and make adjustments as needed.
- Develop and coordinate the delivery of specific services within the community, including liaising with other social services agencies and healthcare providers.
- Provide support and supervision to clients living in group homes and half-way houses, including managing crisis situations and providing suicide and crisis intervention.
- Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Implement behaviour management programs and develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs and develop strategies for improvement.
- Assist clients with special needs, including accompanying them to appointments and social outings.
- Manage events and activities to support clients' development and well-being.
