Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Pluming Eagle Lodge Ltd. as a key member of our Child and Youth Services department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to children and youth in a group home setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to client care and services.
  • Assess client needs and develop individualized plans to address their unique requirements.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
  • Develop and implement life skills workshops and programs to enhance client skills and abilities.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive client care and services.
  • Manage and maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, including housekeeping and food preparation duties.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients as needed.
  • Supervise client activities and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community partners to ensure effective service delivery.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g., Child and Youth Care, Social Work).
  • Experience working with children and youth in a group home or similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties related to client care and services.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
