Job Title: Child and Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Youth Worker to join our team at Pluming Eagle Lodge Ltd. as a key member of our child and youth services team.

Job Summary:

The Child and Youth Worker will provide support and guidance to children and youth in a group home setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily support and guidance to children and youth in a group home setting
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of clients
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
  • Prepare reports and case histories as required
  • Assess client needs and eligibility for specific services
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed
  • Implement life skills workshops and provide education on various topics
  • Conduct follow-up assessments and provide ongoing support
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers
  • Develop and implement service intervention logic models and outcome measures
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physically demanding work environment
