About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Precious Stars Childcare Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Program Development: Collaborate with our Early Childhood Educators to design and implement engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage Children in Activities: Plan and implement activities that stimulate children's curiosity and creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
  • Support Daily Operations: Assist in preparing snacks, arranging rooms and furniture for meals and rest periods, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and harmonious childcare experience.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss children's progress, share ideas, and address any concerns.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in initiatives that support the integration of newcomers and refugees into our community.
  • Support for Youth: Engage with programs that promote youth employment and development.
  • Support for Veterans: Participate in initiatives that support the well-being and integration of veterans into our community.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Engage with programs that promote the well-being and cultural awareness of Indigenous people.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion for visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
