JOB SUMMARY
The role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of accounting processes that affect the general ledger, providing essential support to clients in navigating these processes. Key functions include account balancing, ledger reconciliation, financial reporting, and resolving discrepancies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; no prior work experience is necessary.
- OR
- A two-year degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; one year of experience in finance and accounting or a similar professional area.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
- Coordinates and executes accounting projects as assigned.
- Implements and monitors Accounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) audits across all property areas.
- Ensures compliance with relevant federal and state regulations regarding fraud and collection practices.
- Produces accurate and timely reports and presentations.
- Analyzes data and evaluates outcomes to identify optimal solutions and resolve issues.
- Compiles, categorizes, and verifies financial data.
- Balances credit card accounts.
- Reviews contracts for groups and conducts credit checks for direct billed groups when necessary.
Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals
- Achieves and surpasses performance, budget, and team objectives.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize and organize work effectively.
- Submits reports punctually, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Accurately documents profits and losses.
- Monitors applicable taxes, ensuring they are current and properly accounted for.
- Maintains a robust accounting and operational control environment to protect assets.
- Completes end-of-period functions consistently.
- Provides guidance to other departments regarding accounting and budgeting policies and efficient financial resource management.
Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge
- Exhibits knowledge of relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
- Understands return check procedures.
- Demonstrates proficiency with the Gross Revenue Report.
- Displays knowledge of write-off and consolidated deposit procedures.
- Stays updated on technical developments and applies new knowledge to the role.
- Utilizes computer systems to develop financial spreadsheets and process information.
- Employs relevant information and judgment to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $83,000 annually.
