Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Conduct specimen collection and perform various medical procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team
  • Provide safety and health education to patients and their families
  • Train students, other technologists, or nurses
  • Participate in committees and contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a large caseload and overtime required. The ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail is essential.
