About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sunset Grill. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service establishment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Human Resources
    • Hire food service staff and provide ongoing support and training to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work setting: Food service establishment.
  • Work term: Permanent.
  • Work language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
