About the Role

Giraffe Foods Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery to ensure seamless production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs, to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Update maintenance records and monitor inventory levels for critical replacement parts.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance tasks and minimize production downtime.
  • Participate in staff development and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Certification as Millwright, Industrial Electrician, or dual ticket.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Basic hand tool experience and knowledge of pneumatic, motors, conveyors, shaft alignment, pulleys, belts, and bearings.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot/diagnose equipment failures.
