About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Human Resources Consultant to join our national Claims team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, Corporate and Atlantic Claims, you'll be a key member of our collaborative HR team. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to further develop their HR knowledge, skills, and expertise in the HR consulting areas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide coaching, guidance, and advice on human resources management, ensuring compliance with legislation and company values.
  2. Assist with investigations, conflict management, and other HR-related issues.
  3. Conduct data analysis and recommend solutions to tactical and operational HR challenges.
  4. Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to inform leadership decisions.
  5. Make salary recommendations based on compensation best practices.
  6. Participate in business unit initiatives and corporate programs as needed.
  7. Provide HR support to the HR Claims teams for Corporate & Atlantic Claims.
  8. Contribute to HR process improvement.
Requirements
  1. University degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources Management with three (3) years of experience in human resources or equivalent experience.
  2. Ability to thrive in a multi-site, matrix organization and constantly evolving environment.
  3. Strong communication skills, ability to influence, and relational ease with all hierarchical levels.
  4. Rigor, analytical, and synthesis skills.
  5. Knowledge in various HR areas, including talent management, performance management, employee relations, disability management, change management, engagement, compensation, organizational development, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  6. CHRP and/or CHRL designation preferred.
  7. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  8. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required for regular interactions with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
