Project Manager - Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Technology group. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for effectively carrying out Plan Group's project management procedures from initial award of job to conclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project schedules, change orders, as-built drawings, and close out documents.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure project implementation is executed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform risk management throughout the project life cycle to minimize both known and unforeseen project risks.
  • Work closely with the management team to ensure feasibility and costing of projects according to budget.
  • Manage relationships with project partners and clients to bring forward innovative solutions.
  • Manage project delivery resources, including employees and subcontractors.
  • Communicate technical aspects and regular site activities with stakeholders.
  • Interface with consulting engineers to review and provide recommendations regarding implementation of the design and reports.
  • Adhere to and carry out all safety requirements by client and Plan Group.
  • Contribute to technical proposals and coordinate with team members to develop RFQ/RFP submissions.
  • Track project performance and report status and escalations as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related Project Management experience within the construction industry.
  • Exposure to information technology, structured cabling, and building systems is an asset.
  • Related post-secondary education; university degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Accubid software and/or Estimating experience is considered an asset.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience utilizing scheduling software is preferred.
  • Hold or working towards a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent is considered an asset.
