At PAL Aerospace, we're seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead our engineering projects to success. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within budget, timeline, and scope.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop project plans, work back schedules, and leverage budgeting tools to ensure projects stay on track.
- Manage engineering progress through analysis of earned value, cost-performance, and schedule performance metrics.
- Coordinate schedules, work back schedules, budgets, and work completed by all project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure stellar delivery and strategic growth of the project.
- Gather and interpret project requirements to deploy resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure the engineering forecast is regularly updated.
- Provide input into the project's monthly report concerning design progress, cost, and issues of concern.
- Foster internal and external communication that improves transparency and information.
- Address client and internal product owners' queries effectively and promptly.
- Contact management at critical points throughout the project to ensure engineering deliverables meet client requirements.
- Raise safety awareness and ensure the design for safety principles are applied to the project.
- Ensure engineering risk assessments and design for safety protocols are carried out, and all identified issues are addressed.
- Project Close-out.
- Prepare and analyze engineering performance metrics on a multi-discipline basis.
- Develop lessons learned lists, documentation, and feedback for the organization.
- Inspire and collaborate with client and internal teams.
- Identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans throughout the project.
- Communicate regularly with remote colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 – 7 years of project management experience.
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- PMP Certification is preferred.
- General knowledge of the industry, regulatory standards, and design criteria in engineering disciplines, particularly those related to the aerospace and defence sector.
- Knowledge of engineering progress assessment earned value and engineering control strategies.
- Ability to adapt to constant change and accommodate high-pressure situations to support the team in meeting project objectives.
- Familiarity with using Project Management Software such as Celoxis and MS Project.
