Position Overview:

A full-time opportunity for a Staff Neonatologist is currently available within the Department of Paediatrics at a leading academic health science centre. This institution is renowned for its commitment to excellence in Neonatal clinical care, education, and research.

Department Highlights:

The Department of Paediatrics has a distinguished history of providing primary and tertiary care for newborns, along with specialized services for infants with congenital conditions. It collaborates closely with other prominent institutions to offer a comprehensive Fellowship Training Program in Neonatology, accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of subspecialty training in Neonatal-Perinatal medicine.
  • 5-7 years of experience at the Assistant Professor level or a higher academic rank.
  • A demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and clinical practice.

This role involves responsibilities in various clinical settings, including Level 3 NICU, Mother and Baby Unit, antenatal clinic, and Neonatal Follow-up clinic.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold an MD, MBBS, or equivalent, with specialty training in Pediatric Medicine. Eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or comparable qualifications is essential. Candidates should also be eligible for licensure with the relevant medical regulatory authority.
