About the Opportunity
The University of Toronto is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to fill the position of Division Head, Neonatology. This is a unique opportunity to lead a world-class research and clinical program in neonatology, and to contribute to the advancement of child and youth health.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to the Division of Neonatology, including the development and implementation of research and clinical programs.
- Lead a team of faculty members and staff to achieve excellence in research, education, and clinical care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including hospital administrators, researchers, and clinicians.
- Collaborate with the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children to advance the mission of the Division and the University.
- Develop and implement a vision for the Division that aligns with the strategic goals of the University and the Hospital.
Requirements
- MD, MBBS or equivalent degree.
- Eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or comparable qualifications.
- Experience in leadership and mentoring, with a track record of academic and research excellence in neonatology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and make decisions that align with the goals of the University and the Hospital.
