Contract Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Designer who possesses a strong passion for intricate layouts for a contract position. The role involves working on sophisticated, high-speed applications that are integral to our cutting-edge stabilized airborne imaging systems utilized in global ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) markets.

Key Responsibilities
As part of a dynamic team in our Electrical Lab, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing meticulously crafted layouts based on requirement specifications, architectural design, and tailored customer needs.
  • Validating essential aspects of electronics, interconnects, signal integrity, FPGA, and programmable logic development, as well as embedded software.
  • Ensuring that design requirements are thoroughly understood and well-documented.
  • Contributing your insights and expertise during design and code reviews to enhance the operability and evolution of our gyro-stabilized optical payloads.

Position Details
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Verification of complex multi-layer FPGA and Microprocessor circuit cards for high-speed and high-power applications.
  • Conducting electrical simulations using LTSpice.
  • Applying a Design-for-Test methodology to facilitate the testing of embedded boards and systems.
  • Potentially designing functional test systems to validate designs and manufactured assemblies.

Essential Technical Skills
Successful candidates will possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of PCB and circuit board manufacturing processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical CAD tools such as Cadence, OrCad, or Allegro.
  • Familiarity with military power and environmental design requirements.
  • Experience with aircraft safety design requirements is a plus.
