Contract Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Designer with a passion for intricate layouts to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of our cutting-edge airborne imaging systems, which are integral to the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) sectors.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing sophisticated layouts based on requirements, design architecture, and specific client needs.
  • Validating critical aspects of electronics, interconnects, signal integrity, and embedded software.
  • Ensuring that design specifications are thoroughly understood and meticulously documented.
  • Participating in design and code reviews, sharing insights that enhance the functionality and evolution of our gyro-stabilized optical systems.

Position Details
Your tasks will include:

  • Verification of complex multi-layer FPGA and Microprocessor circuit boards for high-speed and high-power applications.
  • Conducting electrical simulations using industry-standard tools.
  • Implementing a Design-for-Test methodology to streamline the testing of embedded systems.
  • Designing functional test systems to ensure design integrity and validate production assemblies.

Essential Technical Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of PCB and circuit board manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as Cadence, OrCad, or Allegro.
  • Experience with military power and environmental design standards.
  • Familiarity with aircraft safety design requirements is advantageous.
