We are currently in search of a Commercial Insurance Consultant to be part of BrokerLink, working in a permanent full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts for Independent Business Units.
  • Drive new business development by selling policies, quoting, reviewing renewals, and meeting growth objectives.
  • Generate quotes for new business through referrals, outreach, and walk-in clients.
  • Deliver prompt service to customers by providing guidance, addressing concerns, and enhancing their understanding of insurance.
  • Process all incoming commercial documentation efficiently.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for insurers, complete applications for new clients, and issue insurance certificates.
  • Review endorsements and ensure timely follow-up on payments.
  • Engage with insurance companies, negotiate terms on behalf of clients, and follow up on claims status with adjusters.
  • Gather additional information requested by underwriters and complete applications accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and/or Post-Secondary Education.
  • Minimum of two years in customer service roles.
  • Sales experience in any field is advantageous.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the insurance sector is preferred.
  • RIBO Insurance License is preferred or must be obtained upon hire.
  • Familiarity with EPIC is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on conflict resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
