Banquet Manager Job Description

Apollo Convention Centre Inc is seeking a skilled Banquet Manager to oversee the planning and execution of events at our convention centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event operations and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning: Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure team members are meeting expectations.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary supplies are available for events.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the convention centre and its services.
  • Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure the smooth running of events.

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in event operations or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent position.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language required.
