AV Systems Installation Specialist

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in the audiovisual sector, specifically in installation or field engineering roles.

- Proficient in the setup and configuration of AV equipment, including systems from manufacturers such as AMX, Crestron, and Extron.

- Experience with audio DSP configuration tools (e.g., Biamp, BSS/Crown, QSYS).

- Familiarity with digital video switching, routing, distribution, and display technologies (e.g., Crestron, Extron, NEC, Samsung, Sharp).

- Knowledge of IP networking systems as they pertain to audiovisual equipment.

- Capability to educate and guide clients on the operational use of technical equipment.

- Must exhibit responsibility, self-motivation, initiative, and strong organizational skills.

- Exceptional customer service abilities with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Competence in managing multiple tasks concurrently.

- Proven skills in planning, organizing, and executing projects to meet specific deadlines.

- Ability to read and interpret general business documents, technical specifications, drawings, and Gantt charts.

- A valid driver's license is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in the installation of all AV system cabling and devices.
- Participate in the testing of system components to ensure completeness and functionality.
- Submit daily activity reports.
- Responsible for the security and transportation of all equipment and materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, standards, and conventions.
- Verify that each system's physical setup aligns with installation schematics.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, hardware, and tools.
- Uphold proper safety protocols.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Primarily working at client sites and/or active construction environments.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods exceeding 60 minutes.
- Capacity to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel: 15% (within Canada).
