About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Editor-Translator to join our team at Ogilvy. As a key member of our content creation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our translated materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit and translate copy decks, client-facing materials, and internal documents from English to French and from French to English.
  • Collaborate with creative partners to recommend solutions to stylistic or grammatical challenges.
  • Proofread typeset proofs and Web and TV assets against original copy to ensure they are free of errors or omissions.
  • Develop and maintain internal and brand lexicons, and leverage computer-assisted translation tools to ensure the efficiency and consistency of translation work.
  • Work closely with our account, creative, production, and studio teams to ensure that all final material delivered to our clients is of high quality.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in bilingual copy editing and proofreading, and translation (English to French; French to English).
  • Agency experience is an asset.
  • Expert attention to detail and ability to identify and correct stylistic, grammatical, and typographical errors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the evolving rules of Canadian French and Canadian English.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process-oriented self-starter with a constant thirst for learning and improving skills.
