Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Editor-Translator to join our team at Ogilvy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our translated content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Editing and proofreading of translated content to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Collaborating with creative partners to develop and implement translation strategies
- Developing and maintaining internal and brand lexicons
- Utilizing computer-assisted translation tools to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Providing high-level technical proficiency and cultural literacy in Canadian French and English
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in bilingual copy editing and proofreading, and translation (English to French; French to English)
- Agency experience is an asset
- Expert attention to detail and ability to identify and correct stylistic, grammatical, and typographical errors
- Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian French and English language rules and standards
- Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
