Radiation Therapist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our Cancer Treatment Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for radiation treatments and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiation treatments, including accurate charting and preparation of treatment plans.
- Function as a key member of the Cancer Treatment Team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Rotate through various areas of the radiation department, including treatment preparation, simulation, mould room, dosimetry, and treatment delivery.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Radiation Therapist who is a recent graduate or has experience in the field. The ideal candidate will have:
- Graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program in Canada or a non-Canadian program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists.
- Registration (or eligible for registration) with the Nova Scotia Association of Medical Radiation Technologists and the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. We offer permanent and temporary assignments at our Cape Breton Regional location in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
