We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Radiation Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing patient-centered care and optimizing radiation therapy treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Autonomously triage, assess, prescribe, plan, coordinate, and manage a defined patient population referred for radiation treatment.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal treatment outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiation therapy and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
- Master's level education or enrolled in a Master's level program.
- License and registration with relevant professional associations.
- APRT(T) designation.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- Excellent working knowledge of relevant computer software programs.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competencies in other languages an asset.
A competitive hourly rate of $56.88. Successful candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
