Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Gordon Ramsay Steak. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and development to our front-of-house staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of our front-of-house team, ensuring seamless service and high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including cash handling and licensing laws.
  • Assist with maximizing revenue and minimizing operating costs, while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Liaise with team members, back-of-house staff, and restaurant management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and cultivate strong relationships with guests, ownership, and team members to create a positive and welcoming work environment.
  • Contribute to the overall company goals, initiatives, and objectives, ensuring alignment with our vision and values.
  • Manage time and attendance records, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in food and beverage operations management in a premium restaurant or establishment.
  • Post-secondary education in culinary and/or hospitality management, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to obtain.
  • Proven ability to drive profitability and lead by example, mentoring a team to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office, with financial analysis experience an asset.
  • The ability to successfully pass a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy Enforcement Branch.
  • Strong working knowledge of Micros and Squirrel systems.

Work Environment

This is a regular office, restaurant, or casino environment, requiring standing or walking for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours.
