We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Mortgage Servicing Specialist to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of loans to the highest industry standard.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain, review, and analyze financial information to ensure loan criteria is valid and compliant with industry standards.
- Thoroughly review and understand commercial lending, underwriting, and core documents to make sound decisions and recommendations.
- Manage assigned mortgage portfolio proactively to ensure all required conditions for commercial mortgages are fulfilled to satisfaction of investors and CMHC.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of mortgage products and functions, including document management, payment processing, statements, holdbacks/reserves, insurance, and annual financial reviews.
- Adhere to policy and procedures, service levels, and compliance requirements.
- Assess, review, and provide recommendations for mortgage-related approvals to senior management and investors on financial findings and/or client requests.
- Effectively interface with borrowers, consultants, investors, and solicitors while maintaining adherence to service levels and policy standards.
- Monitor ongoing progress draws/holdbacks and ensure mortgage security is valid and legally binding.
- Mentor and lead by example, demonstrating excellent time management skills and ability to handle high volumes.
- Recommend and provide process improvements to build efficiencies and enhance the mortgage servicing experience.
- Organize and prioritize tasks effectively, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills with emphasis on Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, including confident and assertive telephone manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong analytical personality with experience in providing excellent customer service.
- Team player with ability to perform extra duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services, Mortgages, preferably in commercial mortgages.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related required.
