Experienced Heavy Equipment Technician

Park Paving Ltd. has been a cornerstone in the road construction industry for nearly five decades, proudly serving Edmonton and its neighboring regions. We are currently seeking a qualified HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC to enhance our Maintenance Division.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will encompass:

  • Collaborating with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient completion of work orders.
  • Operating with minimal supervision while guiding and supporting colleagues as necessary.
  • Completing essential documentation, including work orders, hazard assessments, and daily logs.
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and adjusting equipment and parts as required.
  • Conducting routine and preventive maintenance on all machinery and assets.
  • Independently servicing heavy-duty equipment in the field.
  • Performing CVIP inspections is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Documenting necessary repairs during inspections and discussing them with supervisors for approval.
  • Submitting completed work orders promptly after job completion.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas and tool storage.
  • Possessing a CVIP license is advantageous but not essential.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid driver’s license and possess either a journeyman or apprentice certification in Heavy Duty Mechanics. A solid understanding of various heavy-duty machinery is crucial for effective diagnostics and repairs, alongside fostering a positive and respectful workplace.
