Scope of the Position:

Responsible for directing, maintaining, and controlling the branch location. Monitor policies and procedures and make recommendations through consultation with the Operations Manager/Director of Sales and department heads. Monitor daily performance objectives and make decisions to ensure branch objectives are met. Participate in establishing and maintaining branch goals and objectives. Develop quality team members and a solid customer base. Manage and encourage optimal performance of all direct reports, including training. Ensure a safe and comfortable working environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, direction, and monitoring of internal staff, ensuring departments work effectively towards common goals.
  • Ensure all staff are properly trained for their roles and training is updated as required.
  • Grow sales by developing, coaching, and motivating sales and support teams.
  • Maintain inventory levels at optimal levels.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained according to the required Branch Operational Scorecard level.
  • Participate in customer calls for sales and technical support (if applicable).
  • Assist with Warehouse and physical plant planning.
  • Vendor relations and planning.
  • Strategic and future management planning.
  • Pricing Maintenance.
  • Participate in and/or recommend product training.
  • Solve customer/staff/company disputes.
  • Maintain and grow business.
  • Outside sales – develop key relationships with customers, including frequent on-site visits.
  • Manage the Inside Sales staff.
  • Manage administrative and CSR functions within the branch.
  • Determine sales projections for the fiscal year and track progress.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings.
  • Resolve day-to-day personnel issues where management decisions are required.
  • Represent the Company to the local and industry community.
  • Other duties as required.

Education & Training:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • College/University Diploma required (Business, and/or Sales & Marketing, or Technical focus preferred).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience, preferably in a Sales/Distribution environment. Previous management experience required.
