What You’ll Be Doing
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assist Branch Manager to monitor and direct branch operations.
- Assist Branch Manager to develop plans to improve branch performance, with a strong focus on driving rental revenues and operational efficiencies.
- Focus on keeping fleet rental ready through establishing efficient and effective shop flow.
- Supervise mechanics to ensure priorities are being set and preventative maintenance schedule is being followed.
- Ability to coach, mentor and develop branch employees.
- Follow, enforce and champion company safety policies at the branch level.
- Strong understanding of all company operating policies and procedures, and enforce compliance.
- Foster a customer service oriented culture to branch operations.
- Work closely with all levels of the organization to ensure a team based approach to problem solving.
- Conduct monthly operating meetings.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the equipment rental /construction industry.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); Systematics an asset.
- Strong supervisory skills.
- Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
